Out with the ewww... in with the new...

Richard Theo

New year is approaching, and everywhere I look people already started their “New year, New me” bullshit. Well, writing the new year resolutions that they will forget just two days later and then back to their usual bad habits that will accumulate at the end of the year, which resulted in self loathing before NYE and back to square one, writing resolutions.
I don’t mean to start a new year on a sour note anyway, this year I managed to fulfilled several of my new year resolutions, which a resulted a shame and guilt free birthday, it finally happened after several years celebrating my birthday while thinking “another year passed and I haven’t do something meaningful with my life.... come on!! Get it together!!!”. This year I can finally called my parents and be genuinely happy with my new age. A lot of things to be grateful this year.

Well, the sense of dissatisfaction that happened the past years perhaps caused by my achievement hunter personality, combined with perfectionist trait and hot temperament. being the only child, there’s always a constant needs that come from within to make your parents proud, because I’m the only source of bragging material that my father have, and yes, my parents’ home is always become a creepy shrine for my personal achievement. well, this year I have loads of good things to write home.

Moving on..  I need a platform to rant, that’s why I’m reviving this blog. and I believe, I do a better job explaining things in writing rather than speaking....

Always a new beginning

Heidi Klum

There are times in my life when I want to press “reset”, or wishing life can be like an  RPG game with multiple endings, multiple save slots and chances to save, reload, and heading to different directions. Well, too bad in the path of life, there is no “reset” button, only choices to; abort mission and change direction, continue mission and hoping something exciting will come along, or diversify and multitask your life, like an RPG with countless side quest.

Well, since time always moves forward and there are no save and reload slot in life, I guess the best thing to do is to diversify and you have done so far or added a new thing. Personally, when I’ve done something half way, and in the waiting period to see if that worked or not, I started to wonder, “is this the right thing?”, or “what if….?”. that is the most confusing and depressing period, too much to think about, but there are nothing left to do.

Recently, besides doing the modeling stuff, I branched out to fashion business while learning about makeup. Well, modeling is fun and of course it’s awesome to celebrate your genetic uniqueness through modeling, but as time goes by, a model cannot rely on his/her looks without any additional skills, because you will get old, and every day, tons of new faces will pop-out and compete with you for the same jobs, not an advantage for a business where youth and good looks are highly in demand.

Eventually, we have to accept the law of fashion business, as Cited by miss. Heidi Klum “One day you’re in and the next day you’re out”, that’s why plan b, c, d, e, and so on are necessary. So, you have to make sure, when you know you gonna give a goodbye kiss to the pages of Vogue, make sure you already got your iron grip on the glossy pages of Forbes..

XOXO
