Out with the ewww... in with the new...

Richard Theo

New year is approaching, and everywhere I look people already started their “New year, New me” bullshit. Well, writing the new year resolutions that they will forget just two days later and then back to their usual bad habits that will accumulate at the end of the year, which resulted in self loathing before NYE and back to square one, writing resolutions.
I don’t mean to start a new year on a sour note anyway, this year I managed to fulfilled several of my new year resolutions, which a resulted a shame and guilt free birthday, it finally happened after several years celebrating my birthday while thinking “another year passed and I haven’t do something meaningful with my life.... come on!! Get it together!!!”. This year I can finally called my parents and be genuinely happy with my new age. A lot of things to be grateful this year.

Well, the sense of dissatisfaction that happened the past years perhaps caused by my achievement hunter personality, combined with perfectionist trait and hot temperament. being the only child, there’s always a constant needs that come from within to make your parents proud, because I’m the only source of bragging material that my father have, and yes, my parents’ home is always become a creepy shrine for my personal achievement. well, this year I have loads of good things to write home.

Moving on..  I need a platform to rant, that’s why I’m reviving this blog. and I believe, I do a better job explaining things in writing rather than speaking....

Always a new beginning

Heidi Klum

There are times in my life when I want to press “reset”, or wishing life can be like an  RPG game with multiple endings, multiple save slots and chances to save, reload, and heading to different directions. Well, too bad in the path of life, there is no “reset” button, only choices to; abort mission and change direction, continue mission and hoping something exciting will come along, or diversify and multitask your life, like an RPG with countless side quest.

Well, since time always moves forward and there are no save and reload slot in life, I guess the best thing to do is to diversify and you have done so far or added a new thing. Personally, when I’ve done something half way, and in the waiting period to see if that worked or not, I started to wonder, “is this the right thing?”, or “what if….?”. that is the most confusing and depressing period, too much to think about, but there are nothing left to do.

Recently, besides doing the modeling stuff, I branched out to fashion business while learning about makeup. Well, modeling is fun and of course it’s awesome to celebrate your genetic uniqueness through modeling, but as time goes by, a model cannot rely on his/her looks without any additional skills, because you will get old, and every day, tons of new faces will pop-out and compete with you for the same jobs, not an advantage for a business where youth and good looks are highly in demand.

Eventually, we have to accept the law of fashion business, as Cited by miss. Heidi Klum “One day you’re in and the next day you’re out”, that’s why plan b, c, d, e, and so on are necessary. So, you have to make sure, when you know you gonna give a goodbye kiss to the pages of Vogue, make sure you already got your iron grip on the glossy pages of Forbes..

XOXO

How to write a fantastic New Year Resolution, N.Y.R 101

New Year Resolution 101

It’s the time of the year, when we start a new blank page and start writing out dreams and goals for the next 365 days. Well, the last several years I always wrote the most ridonkulous resolutions like  “I’m going to hit the gym every single day for like eight hours a day” well… dude that’s not even humanly possible!!, so this year, I’m gonna stick to resolution that I actually care and will stick to it. while my 2013 resolutions are still top secret to the public, here’s the guideline that I follow in order to stay out from the nonsense that I usually wrote as resolution each year:

Make your dream Career a reality. If you want to be in certain position like C.E.O or a Supermodel or a very successful author, or even you want a million dollars in your bank account at the end of the year, write it down to your resolution.

Details, Details, and Details. After you wrote down the dream goals, write the details on how you will achieve that resolution

Reinvent Yourself. Life’s too short to waste it being unhappy! Switch up your attitude, pick up a brand new hobby, purge yourself of bad friends who ultimately bring you down and surround yourself with new ones who offer tons of support and positivity.

Do New Stuff. Do something that you don’t usually do, like change your everyday route, say hello to a stranger, or even the quirkiest thing you can think of. Those things can spice up your dull life.

Respect Yourself. This mean whatever you do whether in work or relationship, you have to put your happiness first. If you always treated like a crap in dating, stop dating that person, there are plenty of fish in the sea, so once you know yourself worth and you can respect yourself, you’ll naturally find someone who love you, respect you and treat you well.

Plan a Vacation. You need time for re-charge and have fun, so a well planned vacation full of thrill should be on the list!!!

Keep your resolution near and visible, so you can track your progress day by day

Have a fantastic new year Guys!!!

The Happiness Project, how to become a person with positive mindset

Richard Theo

Approaching the end of 2012, I start to question “what have I done this year?” and start to crosscheck last year’s resolutions. In one side, checking the list of resolutions can track my personal progress, in the other side, this activity kinda makes me blue, because of the low accomplishment rate. Well, after the “look at all the f I give” meditation, I decided to pretend that the 2012 resolutions list never happened and start a new page with 2013 list.

Beauty, measured by math? or is it really in the eye of the beholder?

Mirror Mirror on the Wall, how golden is thy face…

There is an Old Saying, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”, but science said otherwise, beauty defined by golden ratio and symmetry. More symmetrical one’s face, more attractive that person to opposite sex or even for the same sex.
Actually I saw one article where they calculate the ratio which is based on Fibonacci number, and the show people with supposedly perfect face, yes… they look gorgeous, but after two hours, I start to forget how they look like, and what so special about those faces… at home I tried to mirrored one side of my face to see how I look in perfect symmetry, the result… well, let’s say I’m not too happy about that photo..
Enough about me… lol… after managed to scan through celebrity faces on internet I found some of the legendary beauties that somehow doesn’t fit into that mold…
First My Favorite Brazilian Beauty , Miss Adriana Lima... She has asymmetrical eyes, but her eyes is her greatest assets.... one stare and the next thing you know, you are on your knees....
